Extremely intense emotions, deep-sea diving, experiences you will not forget for the rest of your life – diving in Deepspot is a phenomenal adventure. The deepest diving pool in the world was built in Poland, and it is here that you can try your first dives in the warm, clear water. How to do it safely? Deepspot has rules that were created to minimize the risks during the dive.
Simulator of diving conditions
Deepspot is no ordinary swimming pool. It is the deepest artificial reservoir in the world, reaching 45 meters, and always has perfectly clear, warm water at 32-34 degrees. The deeper it gets, the more interesting surprises await diving enthusiasts. Among other things, there is a shipwreck in the abyss of the pool, and there are also underwater caves. All of this was created for people who want to start the adventure of Scuba diving and Freediving, as well as for those for whom diving is a long-standing passion.
What is Scuba diving?
Scuba diving is equipment diving. Freediving, on the other hand, is free diving on held breath. At Deepspot, this sport can even be tried by people who have never dived, but are curious to see if it is a sport for them. This is a well-organized class that takes place under the watchful eye of an instructor, using the latest, top-quality equipment. Each scuba diving and freediving class is divided into theoretical and practical parts, and diving means descending to a depth of 5 meters. This adventure involves a mass of emotions and sensations that cannot even be described.
First dive only under the guidance of an instructor
At Deepspot, no beginner will be left alone and can count on the assistance of a qualified instructor from start to finish of their visit to the pool. During the class, eager divers learn how to use the equipment, how to equalize the pressure and what movements to make underwater. The first descent is not deeper than 5 meters, but it is often an important step in the lives of future divers and a prelude to a longer diving adventure.
What is the plan for the first dive?
- You need to read all the documents that Deepspot will make available online. You should read them carefully, fill them out and take them with you.
- You should arrive at the pool half an hour before the start of classes, and a quarter of an hour before entering the water you should relax, take a shower.
- When it’s time for a practical lesson, the instructor comes in. His instructions are backed by a great deal of experience and knowledge, so follow his directions and nothing will interfere with the fun.
- After snorkeling, take a moment to relax, or you can eat at a local restaurant.
Safe diving
You know full well that when you are driving a car, using a piece of equipment, even walking in the woods, paying attention and following the rules have a big impact on your enjoyment of the activity and the safety of yourself and those around you. Diving is no different. Respecting the rules of the world’s deepest pool and submitting to them is key to deriving maximum pleasure from diving without undue stress. Therefore, each Deepspot user can only dive to a designated depth, must use intervals between dives, use diving equipment, or match all recommendations required for freediving. It is worth remembering that the facility is as deep as 45 meters, but in order to go that deep, you need the proper authorizations.
Artificial caverns are only available to users with an equipment diver’s license, not to those who dive on held breath or feel uncomfortable in a confined space. Also, not every user can enter a boat wreck. Diving safety is also enhanced by the buddy, or partner, system. It involves at least two people diving at the same time, close to each other, maintaining eye contact at all times and providing assistance to each other if necessary. This is why it is so important to attend theoretical classes. It is on them that each participant learns how to use diving equipment, learns what hand signs are used to communicate with the instructor, and gets to know more about the person with whom he or she will go underwater.
When can you not use Deepspot?
Due to the diving hazards, people who cannot swim, are afraid of the water, feel unwell or have health contraindications cannot use the attraction. Before taking classes, it is essential to review your records and complete questionnaires about your health, and it is worth consulting your doctor. The instructions received by anyone willing to dive include very detailed contraindications. So it is necessary to frankly admit health problems or one’s fears and realize that their occurrence combined with going into the deep end of the pool can be dangerous. Fortunately, most of those willing can successfully take classes and try their hand at the deep end.
