Before you go to open waters!
If you completed the Indoor course earlier than 30 days ago and plan to upgrade to Open Water Diver (OWD), a skills refresher is required to prepare you for open water training in a structured manner.
Upgrade Refresh
Upgrade Refresh is a diving skills refresher designed specifically for those about to enter open water OWD training.
If you completed the Indoor course earlier than 30 days ago and are planning to upgrade to an Open Water Diver (OWD), it is necessary to undergo a skills refresher that will prepare you for open water training so that you will be comfortable and get the most out of it.
To stay up to date, do an Upgrade Refresh at DEEPSPOT no earlier than 10 days before your scheduled open water training.
Participation in the Upgrade Refresh is a requirement for participation in the Upgrade to OWD. However, if you are actively diving after the Indoor course – participating in recreational diving or advancing in specialty courses (such as Dry Suit) – you do not need to participate in the Refresh. If this is the case, we encourage you to contact our course coordinator at [email protected].
During the course, under the constant supervision of our instructor,:
– refresh your basic diving skills
– you will perform emergency exercises
– get used to the foam in which you will dive in open water
– refresh the assembly and disassembly of equipment and all the most essential diving procedures
