Deepspot Freediving League – a new season, new challenges, new opportunities

We’re kicking off the fourth season of the Freediving League—a unique series of competitions created by Deepspot. This project combines athletic competition, skill development, and community-building among freediving enthusiasts. In each edition, participants will compete in two events, testing their limits and pushing themselves further.

For whom did we prepare the Freediving League?

For people who are starting out in breath-hold diving, have taken their first course recently and are training the basics.

For people who like competition, adrenaline thrill and want to overcome their own limits.

The competition is for anyone with Level 1 or higher certification (SSI Freediver equivalent, AIDA **) – don’t be afraid to try and test your abilities

What is the Freediving League?

The Freediving League is a brand-new format for freediving competitions, created by Deepspot—the deepest diving pool in Europe. It consists of four annual competitions (the fourth and final competition is the Deepspot Challenge!).

Deepspot’s desire to further develop the freediving market provides another platform for competition by creating reasons and opportunities to train regularly and break personal records.

Competitions will be tailored to your new skills.

Before the start, you will take part in free competition training under the guidance of an instructor.

During the competition you will have the opportunity to meet other freedivers and join this unique community

Each edition involves two different competitions.

Edition 1 — Deep Dive & Farmers Walk

First event (points+) Deep Dive: Classic deep diving. The competitor chooses one of the depth disciplines: CWT (monofin), CWTB (double fins), CNF (no fins), or FIM (rope descent). Each discipline is scored slightly differently; the most points per meter are awarded in CNF, and the fewest in FIM.

Second event (points): Farmers Walk—Dive 12 m without fins, pick up two weights, and “walk” along the bottom for about 18 m to the finish line. Drop the weights and surface (you may use the rope). Penalty points are deducted for every second—speed counts.

In single editions – 1,2 or 3 passes to Deepspot!

Prizes for the winners of the entire League: diving equipment worth 6,000 euros (prize pool for the entire podium)

Special prize – 8 passes to Deepspot for the person outside the podium who will have the highest attendance in the 2025-2026 league season.
