In either case, we have what you’re looking for. The SSI DiveGuide/Divemaster course is a comprehensive training course where you will learn to lead dives for certified divers and be an over and under dive team leader. Both for private and professional purposes.

PRODUCT DETAILS

This training, though one, provides three certification opportunities:

1) Dive Guide Non-Pro – once completed, you remain a recreational diver and are not bound by any recurring fees with the dive federation

2) Dive Guide Pro – you become an SSI professional and can work for a living as a dive guide around the world. In addition, you will be a Snorkeling instructor

3) Divemaster – You are a professional dive guide and can assist instructors during courses. After this course and experience (e.g., a Divemasters internship at Deepspot), you will be fully ready for an instructor course

In the course Dive Guide:
You will learn how to plan dives and conduct professional briefings on your own
You will possess the competence to safely lead dive teams
You will learn basic diving skills at a demonstration level
You will master basic rescue skills at an expert level
Become a snorkeling instructor (with DGPro/Divemaster certification)

Prerequisites:
– Completed 15 years of age(18 years of age for Pro certification)
– At least 40 logged dives
SSI Diver Stress & Rescue certification or equivalent.
– A certificate from a doctor that there are no contraindications to scuba diving
– The following SSI certifications or equivalent from another recognized training organization:
1) Deep Diving (depth of more than 30 meters)
2) Navigation
3) Night & Limited Visibility

Requirements for certification as a Dive Guide:
– At least 50 logged dives
Pass all requirements and assessments of the SSI Dive Guide program
Passing the final exam

Additional requirements for certification as a Professional Dive Guide:
€100 NETTO SSI Pro registration fee.
– Completion of 18 years of age
– Completed React Right course with Oxygen Provider or equivalent, no more than 2 years old

Additional requirements for certification as a Divemaster:
– Status Dive Guide Pro
– At least 60 logged dives
– Completed Science of Diving course

Skill requirements in the water:
Swim 700 meters on the surface in fins, mask and snorkel in 20 minutes
Water Tread, or staying upright on the surface of the water without using fins or a wetsuit for 15 minutes
Swimming 25 meters underwater using a mask and fins
– Perform a full rescue with an unconscious diver on the surface for a total distance of 100 meters in eight (8) minutes. Both participants must wear a Full Diving System
