DEEPSPOT CERTIFICATES

Welcome to the official registry for Deepspot-proprietary certifications. As the deepest indoor diving facility in Europe, we have developed specialized training programs tailored specifically to our unique facility’s environment.

This directory serves as a comprehensive reference guide for individual divers, international partners, and external diving centers. Below, you will find a detailed breakdown of each Deepspot certificate, outlining its specific characteristics, the exact in-water privileges it grants within our facility, and the prerequisites required to enroll.

DPV SAFETY FREEDIVER

The DPV Freediver course is a proprietary Deepspot project created with the support of Seacraft, making it a globally unique training program. This diploma certifies that the holder has mastered the safe and efficient use of an underwater scooter (DPV) while freediving. The graduate has demonstrated proficiency in route planning, buoyancy control, energy management, maneuvering techniques, and strict safety protocols under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Each graduate had demostrated:

Repeated safety dives with DPV along freediver to the depth of 20 meters and below.
Blackout rescue using DPV from the depth of 20 meters and greater.
Technical comptenence regarding DPV modes, transportation (including air travel) as well as maintenace.

What does the certificate entitle you to?

It grants the right to rent a scooter to be used for freediving including safety dives during sessions at Deepspot.
It serves as a proof of readiness to independently use scooters and further develop maneuvering skills in practice.

Candidate Profile (prerequisites)

Age: Minimum 18 years old.
Base Certification: Minimum Advanced Freediver.
Experience: Minimum 30 logged dive sessions.
Recent Activity: The last dive session must have been completed no more than a month prior to the course start date.
Skill Level: Comfortable and repeatable dives to a minimum depth of 25 meters.

Course Structure (how to get certified)

Duration: 2 days (approx. 15 hours), which includes 4 pool sessions.
Water Practice: Comprehensive exercises focusing on maneuvering, body positioning in motion, and DPV safety principles.

INDOOR DEEP DIVER

Indoor Deep Diver is a unique, recognition certificate issued by Deepspot – the deepest indoor diving facility in Europe. This document certifies the acquisition of advanced knowledge and practical skills necessary to safely plan and conduct deep dives in controlled conditions.

The certificate holder has proven proficiency in:

Planning and conducting safe dives to the depths up to 40 meters.
Buoyancy control (no wetsuit).
Equipment handling at greater depths.
NDL management and computer settings.
Fluent DSMB deployment underwater.
Emergency procedures (including emergency air sharing ascents).

What does the certificate entitle you to?

It entitles you to SCUBA dive to a depth of up to 40 meters in indoor diving environment.
It grants full access to the deepest zone (the tube) of our facility, allowing for free training and exploration with a dive buddy.
It serves as a gateway and an excellent foundation for easily upgrading your credentials to open water certification (e.g., SSI Deep Diving).

Candidate Profile (prerequisites)

Age: Minimum 15 years old.
Base Certification: Minimum Indoor Diver or Open Water Diver (OWD).
Experience: Minimum 12 logged dives.
Additional Requirements: Completion of two diving specialties (which can be completed directly at Deepspot prior to the course).

Course Structure (how to get certified)

Duration: 2 days (approx. 14 hours), including a combination of theory and intensive practice.
Water Practice: 4 dive sessions conducted under the supervision of an experienced, international team of instructors. The training includes a progressive increase in depth, technique refinement, and safety scenarios.
