UNDERWATER DANCE COURSE

WHAT CAN IT GIVE YOU?
You’ll learn how to dance underwater and learn the best techniques and styles, all while having a great time! Dance and free yourself from gravity underwater.

The freediving dance course is designed to provide these experiences and allow everyone the freedom to express themselves through improvisation in this art form, which leads to the continuous discovery of the “superpowers” that water gives to the body.

WHO ARE THEY FOR?
For certified freedivers (minimum Level1) who want to try deep underwater contact improvisation, watsu and dancing in the water.

WHEN?
27.11 – 28.11 (Saturday-Sunday)

Day 1
14:30 – theory
16:30 – session in the water

Day 2
9:00 – theory
10:30 a.m. – session in the water
12:00 – lunch break
14:30 – theory, introduction to video
15:30 – session in the water, dancing together + video
17:00 – conclusion

WHAT EQUIPMENT?
We provide: equipment ie. Mask, snorkel, fins, exercise mat (you can use your own if you have one). Take with you to the video: a nose clip, Ladies: a light dress and a shawl or scarf, Men: a light outfit.

WHO’S PROVIDING?
Marisa Cecchetti – a physics graduate – has taken courses in dance of all kinds: classical, modern, contemporary, hip hop, break dance, choreographed step, afro, physical theater, up to contact improvisation. She also participated in courses in classical theater, physical theater, and theater improvisation.
She is an Apnea Dancing NADD instructor. Her love of video editing is an additional element that she has combined with freediving to create many artistic and experimental videos, some of which have won awards. These videos can be seen on the dedicated Freediving Dancer Youtube channel. She is the creator and co-organizer of the first deep sea freediving dance festival.
